Vice Chair Roberts called the meeting to order at 5:23 p.m.

 

MOTION:     Rep. J. Peterson moved to approve the minutes of March 4, 2016, and March 7, 2016. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Daw, Rep. Eliason, and Rep. Tanner absent for the vote.

 

S.B. 157S01   Pawnshop Amendments (Sen. D. Thatcher) (Rep. V. L. Snow)


Sen. Thatcher explained the bill to the committee.

Rep. Eliason explained the bill to the committee.

S.B. 234          Protecting Unborn Children Amendments (Sen. C. Bramble) (Rep. K. Stratton)



Sen. Bramble explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:     Rep. Redd moved to amend the bill as follows:

 

 

1.    Page 3, Lines 59 through 61:   

 

59   (A) that substantial medical evidence from studies concludes that an unborn child who

60is at least 20 weeks gestational age {  is  }  may be  capable of experiencing pain during an abortion

61procedure; and

 

2.    Page 9, Lines 262 through 263:      

 

262 (i) substantial medical evidence from studies concluding that an unborn child who is at

263least 20 weeks gestational age {  is  }  may be  capable of experiencing pain during an abortion procedure;

 

 

The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Ray absent for the vote.

MOTION:     Chair Ipson moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.

 

Vice Chair Roberts adjourned the meeting at 8:20 p.m.
