Chair Reid called the meeting to order at 4:09 p.m.

H.B. 32        College Credit for Veterans (Rep. T. Cosgrove) (Sen. P. Knudson)

 

Rep. Cosgrove explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:  Sen. Osmond moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Urquhart and Sen. Madsen absent for the vote.

 

S.B. 98    Paraeducator Funding (K. Mayne)

 

MOTION:  Sen. Osmond moved to amend S.B. 98 as follows:

1.                  Page 1, Lines 14 through 16: 


             14        This bill appropriates:

             15        to the Related to Basic Program, as an ongoing appropriation:

             16        from the Education Fund,   {$100,000}    $50,000  .


 

2.         Page 3, Lines 67 through 70:

The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Madsen absent for the vote.

S.B. 140       Advanced Placement Test Funding (Sen. K. Mayne)

 

Sen. Mayne explained the bill to the committee.

Chair Reid announced that S.B. 107 will not be heard today.

 

S.B. 91         School District Modifications (Sen. W. Harper)

 

Sen. Harper explained the bill to the committee.

 

Sen. Osmond distributed “School District Comparison” and “Charter School Local Replacement Baseline.”
