Chair Madsen called the meeting to order at 4:15 p.m.
MOTION: Sen. Weiler moved to approve the minutes
of the February 11, 2014 meeting. The
motion passed unanimously with Sen. Robles, Sen. Jones, and Sen. Thatcher absent
for the vote.
S.B. 92 Metal Theft Amendments (Sen. G. Davis)
Sen. Davis explained the bill to the committee.
MOTION: Sen. Robles moved to amend S.B. 92 as follows:

Page 1, Line 13:
13 regulated metal
apply also to persons who refine or melt regulated metals;
▸ provides
a definition of a metals refiner; and
2.
Page 2, Line 48:
48 metal , but does not include an individual or
business that primarily uses ore, concentrate, or other primary materials in
refining, melting, or producing any regulated metal .
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Jones and Sen. Thatcher absent for the vote.

and Sen. Weiler absent for the vote.
