Sen. Henderson called the meeting to order at 8:15 a.m.

MOTION: Sen. Davis moved to approve the minutes of the February 18, 2014 meeting. The motion passed unanimously.

2^nd Sub. S.B. 109 Radon Awareness Campaign (A. Osmond)

Sen. Osmond explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION: Sen. Davis moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

1^st Sub. H.B. 245 State Fire Code Amendments (J. Dunnigan)

MOTION: Sen. Weiler moved to adopt 2^nd Sub. H.B. 245. The motion passed unanimously.

Rep. Dunnigan explained the bill assisted by Coy Porter, Utah State Fire Marshall.

MOTION: Sen. Weiler moved to pass the bill out favorably as substituted. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION: Sen. Hinkins moved to place 2nd Sub. H.B. 245 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously.

H.B. 316 Financial Institutes Fee Amendments (J. Dunnigan)

Rep. Dunnigan explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION: Sen..Hinkins moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION: Sen. Hinkins moved to place the bill on the Consent Calendar. The motion failed with Sen. Davis voting in opposition.

S.B. 199 Amendments to Emergency Telephone Service Law (C. Bramble)

The bill was not considered.

S.B. 197 Motor Vehicle Insurance – Settlement of Claims (G. Davis)

MOTION: Sen. Davis moved to proceed to the next item on the agenda. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION: Sen. Mayne moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION: Sen. Davis moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.
