Chair Van Tassell called the meeting to order at 8:12 a.m.

 

MOTION:     Sen. Adams moved to approve the minutes of the February 12, 2014 meeting.  The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Dayton and Sen. Mayne absent for the vote.    

 

S.B. 187       Highway Rights-of-way   (J. Adams)

 

Sen. Adams explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:   Sen. Adams moved to pass the bill out favorably.  The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Dayton and Sen. Mayne absent for the vote.

 

S.B.  62        Utah Science Technology and Research Governing Authority Amendments         (B. Shiozawa)

 

MOTION:   Sen. Van Tassell moved to adopt 1st Sub. S.B. 62.  The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Dayton and Sen. Mayne absent for the vote.

 

Sen. Shiozawa explained the bill and answered questions from the committee.

         Spencer Eccles, Executive Director, Office of Economic Development

 

MOTION:   Sen. Dayton moved to pass the bill out favorably as substituted.  The motion passed unanimously.

 

H.B.  264     Disabled Parking Fine Amendments   (J. Seelig)

 

Rep. Seelig explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:   Sen. Harper moved to pass the bill out favorably.  The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Mayne absent for the vote.

 

H.B.  289     Traffic-control Signal Amendments   (J. Anderson)

 

Rep. Anderson explained the bill.

 

MOTION:   Sen.Dayton moved to pass the bill favorably.  The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Mayne absent for the vote.

 

MOTION:   Sen. Dayton moved to adjourn.  The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Mayne absent for the vote.
