Chair Osmond called the meeting to order at 2:08 p.m.

MOTION: Sen. Mayne moved to approve the minutes of the February 19, 2014 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Jones, Sen. Okerlund and Sen. Knudson absent for the vote.

H.B. 327 Veterans’ Employment Opportunity Amendments ( P. Ray)

Rep. Ray explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION: Sen. Mayne moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Jones, Sen. Okerlund and Sen. Knudson absent for the vote.

MOTION: Sen. Mayne moved to place the bill on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Jones, Sen. Okerlund and Sen. Knudson absent for the vote.

H.B. 321 Refugee Services Coordination Amendments ( R. Menlove)

Rep. Menlove explained the bill to the committee.

Spoke for the bill: Gerald Brown, Refugee Services, Department of Workforce Services

MOTION: Sen. Reid moved to send the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION: Sen. Jones moved to place the bill on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION: Sen. Knudson moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.

Chair Osmond adjourned the meeting at 2:30 p.m ..
