Chair Jenkins relinquished the Chair to Sen. Vickers.

 

Acting Chair Vickers called the meeting to order at 8:03 a.m.

 

There were no minutes to approve.    

 

1st Sub. H.B. 108        Mobile Home Park Task Force  (T. Cosgrove)

 

Rep. Cosgrove explained the bill to the committee.

 

Spoke to the bill:         Jason Skousen, Attorney, Mobile Home Law Practice

 

Spoke for the bill:       Danny Harris, Director of Advocacy, AARP Utah

 

MOTION:  Sen. Knudson moved to pass the bill out favorably.  The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Christensen, Sen. Jenkins and Sen. Hinkins absent for the vote.

 

2nd Sub. H.B. 313       Veterans’ and Military Affairs Commission (T. Cosgrove)

 

Rep. Cosgrove explained the bill to the committee.

 

Spoke for the bill:       Brian Garrett, Chair, Top of Utah Military Affairs Committee

 

MOTION:   Sen. Knudson moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Christensen and Sen. Jenkins absent for the vote.        

 

 

 

H.B. 197      Daylight Saving Time Study (R. Menlove)

 

Rep. Menlove explained the bill to the committee.

 

Sen. Jenkins resumed the Chair.

 

Spoke for the bill:       Sterling Brown, Vice President of Public Policy, Utah Farm Bureau Federation

 

MOTION:   Sen. Okerlund moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed with Sen. Jenkins and Sen. Hinkins voting in opposition, and Sen. Christensen absent for the vote.

 

H.B. 380      Repeal of Housing Relief Expendable Special Revenue Fund (M. Brown)

 

Sen. Okerlund explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:   Sen. Hinkins moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

 

MOTION:   Sen. Hinkins moved to place the bill on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously.

 

MOTION:   Sen. Christensen moved to adjourn.  The motion passed unanimously,
