Chair Dayton called the meeting to order at 8:11 a.m.

 

MOTION:  Sen. Van Tassell moved to approve the minutes of the March 5, 2014 meeting.  The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Hillyard absent for the vote.    

 

H.B. 193      Appropriations and Budgeting Amendments  (J. Anderegg)

 

Rep. Anderegg explained the bill to the committee.             

 

MOTION:  Sen. Van Tassell moved to pass the bill out favorably.  The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Shiozawa absent for the vote.

 

S.B. 267       Governmental Immunity Act Amendments (T. Weiler)

 

Sen. Weiler explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:   Sen. Van Tassell moved to replace the bill with 1st Sub. S.B. 267. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Shiozawa absent for the vote.

S.B. 274       Water Jurisdiction Amendments (M. Dayton)

 

Sen. Dayton explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:   Sen. Dayton moved to replace the bill with 1st Sub. S.B. 274. The motion passed unanimously.

 

MOTION:   Sen. Dayton moved to amend the bill as follows:

 

1.      Page 3, Line 63:       Delete “contract security company” and reinstate

                                 “business or entity”

 

                     The motion passed unanimously.
