Chair Vickers called the meeting to order at 8:11 a.m.

 

MOTION:  Sen. Christensen moved to approve the minutes of the March 4, 2014 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Robles absent for the vote.

 

Chair Vickers turned the chair over to Sen. Christensen.

 

S.B. 78         Prescription Eye Drop Guidelines (Sen. E. Vickers)

 

Sen. Vickers explained the bill to the committee.

H.B. 105S07   Plant Extract Amendments (Rep. G. Froerer)

 

Rep. Froerer explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:   Sen. Christensen moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.         Page 5, Lines 124 through 130: 


             124             (a)  the name of each registrant; and

             125             (b)  the name of each minor receiving care from a registrant.

             126             (4)  The department shall make rules in accordance with Title 63G, Chapter 3, Utah

            

 

 

 

             127                    Administrative Rulemaking Act, to  :

(a)   establish the information an applicant is required to provide

             128                    to the department under Subsections (1)(e)(iii) and (2)(e)(iv)  {.}    ; and

(b)   designate the laboratory accreditation standard described in Subsection 58-37-4.3(2)(c)(iii). 

             129             (5)  The department shall establish fees in accordance with Section 63J-1-504 that are

             130                    no greater than the amount necessary to cover the cost the department incurs to implement this
