2. Domestic Asset Protection Trusts
The committee will continue discussion on the issue of
domestic asset protection trusts related to the provisions in 2014 General
Session H.B. 162, "Asset Protection Trust Amendments." The committee
will receive presentations from various representatives with professional
involvement in this arena in order to address the possible implications of
making changes to the existing statute found in Utah Code § 25-6-14.

3. Minimum Mandatory Sentencing
The committee will begin discussion on current minimum
mandatory sentencing practices as outlined in the statutory language contained
in the Utah Code as well as in the provisions governing the Board of Pardons
and Parole. As part of this discussion, the committee will receive an update on
the Pew/CCJJ Justice Reinvestment Initiative study findings as pertaining to
this topic.
