Chair Millner called the meeting to order at 2:20 p.m.
S.B. 60 American Civics Education Initiative (Sen. Stephenson)
Sen. Stephenson explained the bill to the committee.
MOTION: Sen. Stephenson moved to amend the bill as follows:
1. Page 1, Line 14:

a { high } public school student to pass a basic civics test as a condition

MOTION: Sen. Madsen moved to replace S.B. 33 with 1st Sub. S.B. 33. The motion passed unanimously with Senator Urquhart absent for the vote.
