Chair Dayton called the meeting to order at 2:11 p.m.
MOTION: Sen. Jackson moved to approve the minutes
of the January 29, 2015, meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Sen.
Escamillia and Sen. Hinkins absent for the vote.
S.B. 112 Public Reporting Requirements (Sen. W. Harper)
Sen. Harper explained the bill to the committee.
MOTION: Sen. Thatcher moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Escamillia and Sen. Hinkins absent for the vote.
H.J.R. 1 Joint Rules Resolution on Performance Notes (Rep. Chavez-Houck)
Rep. Chavez-Houck explained the bill to the committee. Handout “Performance Note Agency Form” was distributed to the committee.
Spoke to the bill: Mr. Steve Allred, Legislative Fiscal Analyst
MOTION: Sen. Thatcher moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed with Sen. Dayton voting in opposition.
S.B. 104 Education Elections and Reporting Amendments (Sen. A. Jackson)
MOTION: Sen. Jackson moved to replace S.B. 104 with 1st Sub S.B. 104. The motion passed unanimously.
Sen. Jackson explained the bill to the committee.
