Acting Chair Dayton called the meeting to order at 2:05 p.m.

MOTION: Sen. Christensen moved to approve the minutes of the February 2, 2015 meeting. The motion passed unanimously.

S.B. 105 Public Lands Act Amendments (Sen. J. Dabakis)

Sen. Dabakis explained the bill to the committee:

MOTION: Sen. Christensen moved to amend the bill as follows:

MOTION: Sen. Christensen moved to pass the amended bill out favorably. The motion passed with Sen. Dayton and Sen. Vickers voting in opposition.

S.B. 87 Environmental Protection Amendments (Sen. G. Davis)

Sen. Davis explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION: Sen. Iwamoto moved to pass the amended bill out favorably.

SUBSTITUTE MOTION: Sen. Knudson moved to hold the bill until a bill sponsored by Rep. R. Edwards addressing the same issue was before the committee. The motion failed with Sen. Christensen, Sen. Dayton and Sen. Knudson voting in favor and Sen. Iwamoto, Sen. Shiozawa, and Sen. Vickers voting in opposition.

Sen. Iwamoto’s original motion passed with Sen. Dayton and Sen. Vickers voting in opposition.

MOTION: Sen. Christensen moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.

Acting Chair Dayton adjourned the meeting at 3:00 p.m.
