Chair Madsen called the meeting to order at 2:45 p.m.

 

S.B. 39                    Conditions of Probation (Sen. S. Jenkins)

 

Sen. Jenkins explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:  Sen. Thatcher moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Urquhart voting in opposition and Sen. Weiler absent for the vote.

 

 H.B 27        Department of Corrections Retirement Amendments (Rep. E. Hutchings)

 

Rep. Hutchings explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:  Sen. Urquhart moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Weiler absent for the vote.

 

H.B. 13        Jail Reimbursememt Amendments (Rep. P. Ray)

 

Rep. Ray explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:  Sen. Thatcher moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Weiler absent for the vote.

 

MOTION:   Sen. Thatcher move the bill be placed on the Consent Calendar, The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Weiler absent for the vote.

 

H.B. 20        Jury Duty Amendments (Rep. C. Hall)

 

Rep. Hall explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:  Sen. Thatcher moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Sen Weiler absent for the vote.

 

S.B. 119       Prescription Database Revision (Sen. T. Weiler)

 

Sen. Weiler explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:   Sen. Weiler moved to amend the bill as follows:

 

1.         Page 1, Line 20:         


                         20   who have had access to that person's information  , except when the information is subject to an investigation  ;


 

2.         Page 3, Lines 77 through 78: 


                         77   35 days, the patient may submit an appeal to the  { Utah State Board of Pharmacy, created in

                         78   Section 58-17b-201}    Department of Commerce  , within 60 days after the postmark date of the patient's letter making a


 

3.         Page 4, Line 110:       


                         110 pharmacies in the database are confidential  { and de-identified,}   and are not disclosed in any


 

4.         Page 9, Line 253:       


                                              253  regarding the individual  , except if the individual's record is subject to a pending or current investigation as authorized under this Subsection (2)  ;

 

                        The motion passed unanimously.
