Chair Bramble called the meeting to order at 2:20 p.m. and announced that SB 36 and SB 54 would not be heard today.

Business Entities Related Amendments (L. Hillyard)
Sen. Hillyard explained the bill to the committee assisted by Kathy Berg, Director, Division of
Corporations and Commercial Code. They also answered questions from the committee.
MOTION: Sen. Henderson moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Sen Davis and Sen. Weiler absent for the vote.
S.B. 72 Alcoholic
Beverage Control Enforcement Amendments (J. Stevenson)
Sen. Stevenson explained the bill to the committee assisted by Sheila Page, Office of the
Attorney General.
MOTION: Sen. Mayne moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.
Sen. Henderson assumed the committee chair.
S.B. 63 Worker’s Compensation Fund Amendments (C. Bramble)
Sen. Bramble explained the bill to the committee.
MOTION: Sen. Davis moved to amend the bill as follows:
1. Page 3, Lines 70 through 73:
70 (a) workers' compensation insurance and,
subject to Subsection (5)(b) {(ii)} , reinsurance
71 in Utah;
72 (b) workers' compensation insurance and workers'
compensation reinsurance in a state
other than Utah [to the
73 extent necessary to:];
2. Page 4, Lines 110 through 115:
110 (b) [The] (i) {Subject to Subsection (5)(b)(ii), the} The
fund or a subsidiary of the fund may
111 not offer, or enter into a joint enterprise

answered questions from the committee.
