Chair Vickers called the meeting to order at 2:13 p.m.

Chair Vickers relinquished the chair to Sen. Christensen.

S.B. 140 Health Care Providers Immunity from Liability Act Reauthorization (Sen. E. Vickers)

Sen. Vickers explained the bill to the committee.

Spoke for the bill: Michelle McOmber, Chief Executive Officer, Utah Medical Association

MOTION: Sen. Vickers moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION: Sen. Van Tassell moved to place the bill on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously.

Sen. Vickers took over the chair.

H.B. 75 Children’s Health Insurance Program Amendments (Rep. T. Hawkes)

Rep. Hawkes explained the bill to the committee.

Spoke to the bill: Emma Chacon, Assistant Director, Division of Medicaid and Health Financing

MOTION: Sen. Knudson moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Shiozawa absent for the vote.

MOTION: Sen. Christensen moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Shiozawa absent for the vote.

Chair Vickers adjourned the meeting at 2:25 p.m.
