Chair Peterson called the meeting to order at 3:48 p.m.


MOTION:     Rep. Stanard moved to approve the minutes of the February 5, 2015 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Anderegg, Rep. Duckworth, Rep. Dunnigan, Rep. Froerer, Rep. Pitcher, Rep. Roberts, and Rep. Schultz absent for the vote.

 

H.B. 141         Insurance Related Inducements (Rep. J. Knotwell)


Rep. Knotwell explained the bill assisted by Tom Welsh, outside counsel for Zenefits.

MOTION:     Rep. Knotwell moved to replace H.B. 141 with 1st Substitute H.B. 141. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Anderegg, Rep. Duckworth, Rep. Dunnigan, Rep. Froerer, Rep. Pitcher, Rep. Roberts, and Rep. Schultz absent for the vote.  


MOTION:     Rep. Stanard moved to pass out favorably 1st Sub. H.B. 141. The motion passed with Rep. Duckworth and Rep. Webb voting in opposition.

 

H.B. 168         Unclaimed Life Insurance Benefits (Rep. J. Dunnigan)

Rep. Dunnigan explained the bill assisted by Dennis Johnston, Unclaimed Property Division.

1st Sub. S.B. 10         Compact for Interstate Sharing of Putative Father Registry Information (Sen. L. Escamilla)


Sen. Escamilla explained the bill and distributed a handout, "Colorado man can contest Utah adoption, court rules".


MOTION:     Rep. Duckworth moved to pass out favorably 1st Sub. S.B. 10. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Dunnigan, Rep. Froerer, Rep. Pitcher, Rep. Webb, and Rep. Wilson absent for the vote.


MOTION:     Rep. Knotwell moved to recess for 10 minutes. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Dunnigan, Rep. Froerer, Rep. Pitcher, Rep. Webb, and Rep. Wilson absent for the vote.
