Sen. Osmond called the meeting to order at 2:12 p.m.

 

MOTION:  Sen. Mayne moved to approve the minutes of the January 29, 2015 meeting.  The motion passed unanimously with, Sen. Okerlund and Sen. Millner absent for the vote.

                        

S.B.  123      Motion Picture Licensing Amendments (B. Shiozawa)

 

Sen. Shiozawa explained the bill to the committee.

 

Spoke for the bill:       Virginia Pearce, Director, Utah Film Commissioner

 

MOTION:  Sen. Jenkins moved to pass the bill out favorably.  The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Milner absent for the vote.

 

MOTION:   Sen. Okerlund moved to place the bill on the Consent Calendar.  The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Milner absent for the vote. 

 

H.B.   21      Department of Workforce Services Sunset Authorization (R. Edwards)

 

Rep. Snow explained the bill to the committee.

           

MOTION:  Sen. Jenkins moved to pass the bill out favorably.  The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Milner absent for the vote.

 

1st Sub. H.B.  41    Local Economic Development Amendments (V. L. Snow)    

 

Rep. Edwards explained the bill and answered questions from the committee.

 

Spoke for the bill:         Randy Sant, Redevelopment Agent

                                   

Spoke against the bill:   Kelsey White, Utah Taxpayers Association

 

MOTION:  Sen. Okerlund moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

 

MOTION:   Sen. Milner moved to adjourn.  The motion passed unanimously.
