Vice Chair Knotwell called the meeting to order at 4:15 p.m.


MOTION:     Rep. Stanard moved to approve the minutes of the February 12, 2015 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Anderegg, Rep. Froerer, Rep. Pitcher, Rep. Roberts, and Rep. Peterson absent for the vote.

 

H.B. 290         New Car Dealership Franchise Amendments (Rep. M. McKell)


Rep. McKell explained the bill assisted by Sarah Starkey, New Car Dealers Association, and Rep. Kim Coleman who distributed a handout, "Salt Lake County Car Dealerships."

MOTION:     Rep. Peterson moved to replace H.B. 290 with 2nd Substitute H.B. 290. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Wilson absent for the vote.



MOTION:     Rep. Froerer moved to pass out favorably 2nd Sub. H.B. 290. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Wilson absent for the vote.

 

S.B. 73            Office of State Debt Collection Amendments (Sen. L. Hillyard)


Sen. Hillyard explained the bill accompanied by Jacob Franklin, Office of State Debt Collection.


MOTION:     Rep. Cox moved to pass out favorably S.B. 73. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Wilson absent for the vote.

 

S.B. 143          Title and Escrow Modifications (Sen. C. Bramble)


Sen. Bramble explained the bill.


MOTION:     Rep. Stanard moved to pass out favorably S.B. 143. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Wilson absent for the vote.

 

S.B. 128          Long-term Disability Insurance Plan Amendments (Sen. M. Dayton)


Sen. Dayton explained the bill assisted by Chet Loftis, Public Employees Health Plan.


MOTION:     Rep. Duckworth moved to pass out favorably S.B. 128. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Wilson absent for the vote.


MOTION:     Rep. Cox moved to place S.B. 128 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Wilson absent for the vote.


MOTION:     Rep. King moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Wilson absent for the vote.
