Chair Dayton called the meeting to order at 8:04 a.m.

 

MOTION:  Sen. Hinkins moved to approve the minutes of the February 10, 2015 meeting. The motion passed unanimously.    

 

S.B. 69         Clean-burning Fuel for Motor Pools (Sen. S. Jenkins)

 

Sen. Jenkins explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:  Sen. Hinkins moved to adopt the following amendment:

 

1.     Page 5, Line 150 through Page 6, Line 155:     


             150             (1) (a)  "Government entity" means a department, commission, board, council, agency,

             151      institution, fund, division, office, committee, authority, laboratory, library, unit, bureau,

                        panel,


             152      or any other administrative unit of:

             153             (i)  the state;

             154             (ii)  a county  of the first or second class  ; or

             155             (iii)  a municipality  of the first, second, or third class  .


 

2.     Page 6, Lines 169 through 170: 


                                    169    (2)  (a)    "Motor vehicle" means a self-propelled vehicle   {used}    intended   for

                                              the transportation of

                                    170passengers that is owned, operated, or in the possession of a government entity.

               (b) "Motor vehicle" does not include a vehicle used primarily for law enforcement or emergency purposes.   

 

The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:  Sen. Hinkins moved to pass the bill as amended out favorably.  The motion passed with Sen. Dayton voting in opposition.

Rep. Peterson explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:  Sen. Hinkins moved to pass the bill out favorably.  The motion passed unanimously.

 

MOTION:  Sen. Hinkins moved the bill be placed on the Consent Calendar.  The motion passed unanimously.

Rep. Oda explained the bill to the committee.          

 

MOTION:  Sen. Hinkins moved to pass the bill out favorably.  The motion passed unanimously.

Rep. Christensen explained the bill to the committee.          

 

MOTION:  Sen. Hinkins moved to pass the bill out favorably.  The motion passed unanimously.

 

H.B. 53        Local Government Residential Reimbursement Authority (Rep. Johnny Anderson)

 

Rep. Anderson explained the bill to the committee. 

 

MOTION:  Sen. Hinkins moved to pass the bill out favorably.  The motion passed unanimously.

 

MOTION:   Sen. Jackson moved to adjourn.  The motion passed unanimously.
