Chair Henderson called the meeting to order at 4:05 p.m.

MOTION: Sen. Harper moved to approve the minutes of the February 20, 2015 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Bramble, Sen. Davis, and Sen. Stephenson absent for the vote.

H.C.R. 3 Concurrent Resolution Recognizing the 100^th Anniversary of the Settlement of Clarion, Utah (Rep. J. Cox)

Rep. Cox explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION: Sen. Dabakis moved to pass the resolution out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Bramble and Sen. Davis absent for the vote.

Sen. Henderson relinquished the chair to Sen. Harper.

S.B. 227 Charter School Revisions (Sen. D. Henderson)

Sen. Henderson explained the bill to the committee.

Spoke to the bill: Howard Headlee, Vice Chairman, Utah State Charter School Board

Spoke for the bill: Kim Frank, Executive Director, Utah Charter Network

MOTION: Sen. Henderson moved to replace S.B. 227 with 1^st Sub. S. B. 227. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION: Sen. Henderson moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed

unanimously.

S.B. 48 Evaluating Federal Land (Sen. A. Osmond)

Sen. Osmond explained the bill to the committee.

Spoke to the bill: John Valentine, Commissioner, Utah State Tax Commission

MOTION: Sen. Bramble moved S.B. 48 be replaced with 1^st Sub. S.B. 48. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Henderson and Sen. Stephenson absent for the vote.

MOTION: Sen. Henderson moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed with Sen. Dabakis and Sen. Davis voting in opposition and Sen. Stephenson absent for the vote.

MOTION: Sen. Bramble moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Stephenson absent for the vote.

Chair Harper adjourned the meeting at 4:50 p.m.
