Vice Chair Handy called the meeting to order at 4:15 p.m.

MOTION:     Rep. Grover moved to approve the minutes of the February 12, 2015 meeting. The motion passed unanimously.

H.B. 304         Homeowner Association Utilities Amendments (Rep. D. Pitcher)

Rep. Pitcher introduced the bill and explained it to the committee with the assistance of Michael Miller, Attorney.

Spoke for the bill:       Craig Moody, Moody and Associates

MOTION:     Rep. Stratton moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.         Page 1, Line 18:         After "recover" Insert "actual and reasonable"

2.         Page 8, Line 217:       After " for the" Insert "actual and reasonable"

3.         Page 11, Line 329:     After " for the" Insert "actual and reasonable"

SUBSTITUTE

MOTION:      Rep. Miller moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.         Page 1             Lines 15 -19    Delete Lines 15 through 19.

2.         Pages 7-8        Lines 210-218      Delete Lines 210 through 218.

3.         Page 11           Lines 322-330      Delete Lines 322 through 330.

The substitute motion failed with Rep. Miller voting in favor.

                        Rep. Stratton's original motion to amend the bill passed unanimously.

MOTION:     Rep. Grover moved to pass H.B. 304 out favorably as amended. The motion passed with Rep. Miller and Rep. Ivory voting in opposition.

MOTION:     Rep. Edwards moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.

Vice Chair Handy adjourned the meeting at 4:55 p.m.
