S.B. 209       Volunteer Registry (Sen. M. Dayton)

 

Sen. Dayton explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:  Sen. Jackson moved to pass the bill out favorably.  The motion passed unanimously.

 

H.B. 280      Utah National Guard Command Structure Amendments (Rep. V. Peterson)

 

Rep. Peterson explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:  Sen. Jackson moved to adopt the following amendment:

 

1.     Page 3, Lines 68 through 71:     


                                     68             (b)  The chief of staff for air shall be at least a field grade federally recognized

                                     69commissioned officer of the Utah National Guard with not less than five years of military

                                     70service in the armed forces of a state or of the United States, at least three of which shall have

                                     71been commissioned in the   {Air}    Utah   National Guard   {of the United States}  .

S.B. 233       Attorney General Contingent Fee Contracts (Sen. J. S. Adams)

 

Sen. Adams explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:  Sen. Jackson moved to replace S.B. 233 with 1st Sub. S.B. 233.  The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Dayton absent for the vote.

S.J.R. 14      Joint Resolution Supporting Creation of a GI Bill for the Utah National Guard (Sen. K. Mayne)

 

Sen. Mayne explained the bill to the committee.

Rep. Perry explained the bill to the committee. He distributed the handout “Water Bill.”
