Vice Chair Knotwell called the meeting to order at 8:08 a.m.


MOTION:     Rep. Cox moved to approve the minutes of the February 24, 2015 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Anderegg, Rep. Duckworth, Rep. Froerer, and Rep. Pitcher absent for the vote.

 

H.B. 372         Electrician Licensing Amendments (Rep. D. McCay)


Rep. McCay explained the bill.


MOTION:     Rep. Schultz moved to pass out favorably H.B. 372. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Anderegg, Rep. Duckworth, Rep. Froerer, and Rep. Pitcher absent for the vote.


MOTION:     Rep. Webb moved to place H.B. 372 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Anderegg, Rep. Duckworth, Rep. Froerer, and Rep. Pitcher absent for the vote.

 

H.B. 352         Title Insurance Reporting Amendments (Rep. M. Roberts)


Rep. Roberts explained the bill assisted by James Seaman, Utah Land Title Association.

MOTION:     Rep. Peterson moved to amend H.B. 352 as follows:

2.    Page 1, Lines 12 through 13:   

 

12         exempts an individual insurance producer, who is {  not  } an employee of a title insurer

13or who is {  not  } designated by an agency title insurance producer, from certain title

1st Sub. H.B. 126      Design Professionals - Amendments (Rep. F. Cox)

 

Rep. Cox explained the bill assisted by Amy Coombs, Ideal for Utah, and Rep. Brian Greene, Occupational and Professional Licensure Review Committee.

MOTION:     Rep. Roberts moved to amend the bill by replacing on line 112 the words "an equivalent body" with "a similar exam."

 

SUBSTITUTE

MOTION:     Rep. Schultz moved to hold the bill. The motion passed with Rep. Duckworth, Rep. King, Rep. Pitcher, Rep. Roberts, and Rep. Knotwell voting in opposition.

 

H.B. 138         Joint Credit Obligations Amendments (Rep. K. Powell)

 

This bill was not heard.

 

MOTION:     Rep. Peterson moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.
