Chair Edwards called the meeting to order at 8:05 a.m.

MOTION:     Rep. Westwood moved to approve the minutes of the February 25, 2015 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Last, Rep. Oda, and Rep. Romero absent for the vote.

H.B. 383         Athlete Injury Amendments (Rep. P. Ray)

Rep. Ray explained the bill assisted by Mark Van Wagoner, counsel for the Utah High School Athletic Association, and Bart Thompson, Assistant Director, Utah High School Athletic Association.

MOTION:     Rep. Westwood moved to pass out favorably H.B. 383. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Oda absent for the vote.

H.B. 402         New Convention Facilities Development Incentive Act Amendments (Rep. B. Wilson)

Rep. Wilson explained the bill assisted by Tim Bodily, Salt Lake County District Attorney.

MOTION:     Rep. Sandall moved to replace H.B. 402 with 1st Substitute H.B. 402. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:     Rep. Westwood moved to pass out favorably 1st Sub. H.B. 402. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Hawkes absent for the vote.

H.B. 411         Venture Capital Enhancement Amendments (Rep. B. Wilson)

Rep. Wilson explained the bill assisted by Bret Jepsen, Managing Director, Utah Capital Investment. Brian Dean, Office of the Legislative Auditor General, and Ben Hart, Governor's Office of Economic Development, answered questions.

MOTION:     Rep. Last moved to replace H.B. 411 with 1st Substitute H.B. 411. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Hawkes and Rep. Oda absent for the vote.

MOTION:     Rep. Sandall moved to pass out favorably 1st Sub. H.B. 411. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Hawkes and Rep. Oda absent for the vote.

MOTION:     Rep. Last moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Hawkes and Rep. Oda absent for the vote.
