Chair Vickers called the meeting to order at 4:18 p.m.

 

MOTION:  Sen. Christensen moved to approve the minutes of the March 5, 2015 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Knudson and Sen. Van Tassell absent for the vote.    

 

H.B. 249S01   Rights of Children Conceived Through Artificial Insemination (Rep. D.        Pitcher)

 

Sen.Shiowaza explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:  Sen. Shiowaza moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed

                     unanimously with Sen. Knudson absent for the vote.

 

MOTION:  Sen. Shiowaza moved to place the bill on the Consent Calendar.

                     The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Knudson absent for the vote.

 

H.B. 334S01   Child and Family Amendments (Rep. L. Christensen)

 

Rep. Christensen explained the bill to the committee.

 

Spoke for the bill:       Liz Knight, Director, Guardian ad Litem

 

MOTION:  Sen. Van Tassell moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed

                     unanimously with Sen. Escamilla absent for the vote.
