Chair Anderson called the meeting to order at 4:06 p.m.

 

MOTION:       Rep. DiCaro moved to approve the minutes of the March 9, 2015, meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Cunningham, Rep. King, Rep. Lifferth, and Rep Anderegg absent for the vote.

 

2nd Sub. S.B. 240         School Districts - Transportation Policies (Sen. J. S. Adams) (Rep. S. Eliason)

 

Rep. Eliason explained the bill to the committee.

 

Spoke for the bill:          Sen. J.S. Adams

 

MOTION:       Rep. Moss moved to pass 2nd Substitute S.B. 240 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Cunningham, Rep. King, Rep. Lifferth, and Rep. Anderegg absent for the vote.

 

 

 

1st Sub. S.B. 237           Public Safety Amendments (Sen. W. Harper)

 

Sen. Harper explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:       Rep. Barlow moved to replace 1st Substitute S.B. 237 with 2nd Substitute

S.B. 237. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Cunningham, Rep. King, Rep. Lifferth, and Rep. Anderegg absent for the vote.

 

MOTION:       Rep. Barlow moved to pass 2nd Substitute S.B. 237 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Cunningham, Rep. King, Rep. Lifferth, and Rep.

Anderegg absent for the vote.

 

MOTION:       Rep. Barlow moved to recess for 20 minutes. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Cunningham, Rep. Rep. King, Rep, Lifferth, and Rep. Anderegg absent for the vote.

MOTION:       Rep. Fawson moved to replace H.B. 440 with 2nd Substitute H.B. 440. the motion passed unanimously with Rep. Cunningham and Rep. Anderson absent for the vote.

 

MOTION:       Rep. Lifferth moved to adjourn. The motion failed with Rep. Christofferson, Rep. Cox, Rep. DiCaro, Rep. Fawson, and Rep. King voting in opposition. Rep. Cunningham and Rep. Anderson were absent for the vote.

 

MOTION:       Rep. Fawson moved to pass 2nd Substitute H.B. 440 out favorably.

 

SUBSTITUTE

MOTION:       Rep. Christofferson moved to return 2nd Substitute H.B. 440 to the Rules Committee for interim study. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Cunningham and Rep. Anderson absent for the vote.

 

MOTION:       Rep. Fawson moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Cunningham and Rep. Anderson absent for the vote.
