Chair Jackson called the meeting to order at 4:13 p.m.

 

MOTION:  Sen. Hinkins moved to approve the minutes of the February 4, 2014 meeting.  The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Mayne absent for the vote.    

 

S.B. 289       Children’s Heart Disease Special Plate (D. Hinkins)

 

Sen. Hinkins explained the bill to the committee:

                       

MOTION:  Sen. Van Tassell moved to pass the bill out favorably.  The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Mayne absent for the vote.

 

H.J.R.   21      Joint Resolution Granting Easements for Construction of a Traffic Light

                       (R. Cahvez-Houk)

 

Sen. Dabakis explained the bill to the committee assisted by Shane Marshall, Deputy Director,

UDOT.

 

A handout “A2:  Columbus St/500N Signal” was distributed.

 

MOTION:  Sen. Van Tassell moved to pass the bill out favorably.  The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Mayne absent for the vote,

MOTION:  Sen. Hinkins moved to adopt 2nd Sub. H.B. 289.  The motion passed unanimously.
