Sen. Milner assumed the Committee Chair and called the meeting to order at 4:10 p.m.

MOTION: Sen. Iwamoto moved to approve the minutes of the February 20, 2015 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with, Sen. Jenkins absent for the vote.

S.B. 223 USTAR Government Amendments (A. Osmond)

Sen. Osmond explained the bill to the committee assisted by Ivy Estabrooke, Executive Director,

USTAR.

MOTION: Sen. Osmond moved to amend the bill as follows:

1. Page 6, Lines 162 through 163:

162 (b) The executive director is an at-will employee who may be terminated without cause

163 by the governor {[} or {]} {, by the Senate, or} by majority vote of the USTAR governing authority.

The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION: Sen. Osmond moved to pass the bill out favorably as amended. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION: Sen. Jenkins moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.

Acting Committee Chair Millner adjourned the meeting at 4:26 p.m.
