Chair Anderson called the meeting to order at 2:07 p.m.
H.B. 168 Transportation Funding Modifications (Rep. Johnny Anderson)
Rep. Anderson explained the bill to the committee with the assistance of Patrick Reimherr, Citizen.
Spoke against the bill: George Chapman, Citizen
MOTION: Rep. Lifferth moved to pass H.B. 168 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Dee and Rep. Anderegg absent for the vote.
H.B. 67 Weapons on Public Transportation (Rep. N. Thurston)
Rep. Thurston explained the bill to the committee and presented a power point discussion.
MOTION: Rep. Christofferson moved to amend the bill as follows:
1. Page 3, Lines 60 through 61:
60 (2) (a) A person who carries [a concealed dangerous weapon, firearm, or] any highly

The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Dee and Rep. Anderegg absent for the vote.
MOTION: Rep. Lifferth moved to pass H.B. 67 out favorably as amended. The motion passed with Rep. Moss voting in opposition. Rep. Dee and Rep. Westwood were absent for the vote.
H.B. 129 Towing Surcharge Amendments (Rep. K. Stratton)
Rep. Stratton explained the bill to the committee.
MOTION: Rep. Barlow moved to amend the bill as follows:
1. Page 4, Lines 102 through 106:
102 { (c) A tow truck operator, a tow truck motor carrier, or an impound yard, when
103receiving payment by credit card, may charge a credit card processing fee in an amount equal to
104the lesser of:
105 (i) the actual cost of processing the credit card transaction; or
106 (ii) 3% of the transaction total. }
2. Page 5, Lines 141 through 142:
141satisfies the requirements to release the vehicle, vessel, or outboard motor under Section
14241-6a-1406.
(9) In addition to the maximum rates established under Subsection (7) and when receiving payment by credit card, a tow truck operator, a tow truck motor carrier, or an impound yard may charge a credit card processing fee in an amount equal to the lesser of:
(a) the actual cost of processing the credit card transaction; or
(b) 3% of the transaction total.
The motion passed with Rep. Anderegg voting in opposition.
MOTION: Rep. Christofferson moved to pass H.B. 129 out favorably as amended. The motion passed unanimously.
MOTION: Rep. Cunningham moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.
