Chair Vickers called the meeting to order at 2:08 p.m.

MOTION: Sen. Christensen moved to approve the minutes of the March 10, 2015 and January 26, 2016 meetings. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Escamilla and Sen. Shiozawa absent for the vote.

S.B. 61 Smoking in Public Places Amendments (Sen. E. Vickers)

Sen. Vickers explained the bill to the committee.

Spoke for the bill: Ms. Brooke Carlisle, Director of Government Relations, American Cancer Society

Ms. Jamie Riccobono, Executive Director, American Lung Association

MOTION: Sen. Vickers moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Shiozawa absent for the vote.

Chair Vickers relinquished the chair to Sen. Christensen.

S.B. 82 Child Welfare Modifications (Sen. W. Harper)

MOTION: Sen. Van Tassell moved S.B. 82 be replaced with 1^st Sub. S.B. 82, Child Welfare Modifications. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Vickers and Sen. Shiozawa absent for the vote.
