Chair Jackson called the meeting to order at 2:07.

 

At the request of the sponsor, Chair Jackson announced that SB0074 will not be heard today.

 

S.B. 0064        Special Group License Plate Modifications (Sen. Escamilla)

 

Sen. Escamilla explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION: Sen. Hinkins moved to amend the bill as follows:

Motion passed unanimously with Sen. Jackson absent for the vote.

Sen. Hinkins explained the bill to the committee.     

 

MOTION:  Sen. Hinkins moved to pass the bill out favorably.  The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Mayne and Sen. Jackson absent for the vote.

 

S.B.   0100      Traffic Fines Amendments (Sen. Hillyard)

S.B.   0102      High Cost Infrastructure Tax Credit Amendments (Sen. R. Okerlund)

 

Sen. Okerlund explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION: Sen. Hinkins moved to amend the bill as follows:

I.                    Page 1, Lines 17 through 19: 


             17        infrastructure tax credit;

             18          {  allows a tax credit recipient to assign a tax credit to another person; and} 

             19             authorizes the Office of Energy Development to make rules to implement the high


 

2.         Page 2, Lines 50 through 53:     


             50               (2)  Subject to the [other] provisions of this section, [a corporation that is] an

             51        infrastructure cost-burdened entity may claim a nonrefundable tax credit [for development of a

             52        high cost infrastructure project], against   {the infrastructure cost-burdened entity's}    a   tax liability

             53        under this chapter, as provided in this section.


 

3.         Page 3, Lines 65 through 66:     


             65          {(5)  An infrastructure cost-burdened entity may enter into an agreement to assign, to}

Rep. Christofferson explained the bill to the committee.

H.B.   0055     State Highway System Amendments (Rep. Anderson)

 

Sen. Jackson explained the bill to the committee.

           

MOTION:   Sen. Van Tassell moved H.B. 0055 be replaced with 1st Sub H.B.0055. Motion passed unanimously with Sen. Mayne, Sen. Adams, and Sen. Harper absent for the vote.

H.B.   0060     Class B and Class C Road Fund Amendments (Rep. Anderson)
