Vice Chair Roberts called the meeting to order at 2:10 p.m.

 

MOTION:     Rep. Ray moved to approve the minutes of January 28, 2016. The motion passed unanimously with Chair Ipson absent for the vote.

 

H.B. 16           Offender Registry Amendments (Rep. J. Draxler)


Rep. Draxler explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:     Rep. Redd moved to amend H.B. 16 as follows:


 

1.    Page 9, Line 250:       

 

250requirement for the offense that the offender was convicted of {   or the juvenile is adjudicated of  }

 

 

The motion passed unanimously, with Chair Ipson absent for the vote.

 

MOTION:     Chair Ipson moved to pass H.B. 16 out favorably, as amended. The motion passed unanimously.

 

H.B. 66           Online Parenting Course for Divorcing Families (Rep. C. Moss)

 

Rep. Moss explained the bill to the committee, and provided a handout, "Online Divorce Education".

MOTION:     Rep. Daw moved to pass H.B. 66 our favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

 

H.B. 136         Human Trafficking Amendments (Rep. P. Ray)

 

Rep. Ray explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:     Rep Ray moved to replace H.B. 136 with 1st Substitute H.B. 136. The motion passed unanimously.

H.B. 159         Line-of-duty Death Benefits Amendments (Rep. M. McKell)

 

Rep. McKell explained the bill to the committee.
