Chair Millner called the meeting to order at 2:21 p.m.

 

MOTION: Sen. Stevenson moved to approve the minutes from February 2, 2016 minutes. The motion passed unanimously with President Niederhauser, Sen. Dabakis, Sen. Madsen, and Sen. Urquhart absent for the vote.

 

H.B. 40        Agency Reporting Requirements   (Rep. Last)

 

Rep. Last explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION: Sen. Stephenson moved to pass out H.B. 40 with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously with President Niederhauser, Sen. Madsen, and Sen. Urquhart absent for the vote.

           

MOTION:  Sen. Stevenson moved to place H.B. 40 on the consent calendar. The motion passed unanimously with President Niederhauser, Sen. Dabakis, Sen. Madsen, and Sen. Urquhart absent for the vote.

 

Chair Millner relinquished the chair to Sen. Stephenson.

 

SB101          High Quality School Readiness Program Expansion (Sen. Millner)

 

Sen. Millner explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:  Sen. Fillmore moved to pass out S.B. 101 with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Madsen and Sen. Urquhart absent for the vote.

 

Sen. Millner resumed the Chair.

 

H.B. 90           Education Background Check Amendments (Rep. Handy)

 

Rep. Handy explained the bill to the committee

 

MOTION:  Sen. Fillmore moved to pass out H.B. 90 with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously with President Niederhauser, Sen. Madsen, and Sen. Urquhart absent for the vote.

 

MOTION:  Sen. Stevenson moved to adjourn.  The motion passed unanimously with President Niederhauser, Sen. Madsen, and Sen. Urquhart absent for the vote.
