Chair Vickers called the meeting to order at 3:05 p.m.

 

MOTION:  Sen. Van Tassell moved to approve the minutes of the February 4, 2016 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Knudson and Sen. Shiozawa absent for the vote.    

 

S.B. 79S01   Child Welfare Revisions (Sen. A. Jackson)

 

MOTION:   Sen. Christensen moved 1st Sub. S.B. 79 be replaced with 2nd Sub. S.B. 79, Child Welfare Revisions. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Knudson and Sen. Shiozawa absent for the vote.

 

Sen. Jackson explained the bill to the committee.

Spoke for the bill:                   Mr. Dan Deuel, Chairman Legislative Affairs, National Parents Organization of Utah

MOTION:  Sen. Van Tassell moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed

                     unanimously with Sen. Vickers absent for the vote.

                     

 

 

 

 

S.B. 130       Tattoo Removal (Sen. J. S. Adams)

 

Sen. Adams explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:   Sen. Van Tassell moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed

                      unanimously with Sen. Vickers absent for the vote.

 

MOTION:   Sen. Van Tassell moved the bill be placed on the Consent Calendar. The motion

                               passed unanimously with Sen. Shiozawa and Sen. Vickers absent for the vote.

 

S.B. 140       Home and Community Based Services Amendments (Sen. J. Iwamoto)

 

Sen. Iwamoto explained the bill to the committee.

                      unanimously with Sen. Shiozawa and Sen. Vickers absent for the vote.
