Sen. Fillmore assumed the Committee Chair and called the meeting to order at 8:03 a.m.
MOTION: Sen. Jenkins moved to approve the minutes of the February 12, 2016 meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
S.B. 151 Community Development and Renewal
Agencies Act Revisions (W. Harper)
Sen. Harper explained the bill and answered questions from the committee.

S.B. 153 Self-reliance Training for Public
Assistance Recipients (L. Fillmore)
Sen. Fillmore explained the bill to the committee.
MOTION: Sen. Fillmore moved to amend the bill as follows:

Page 5, Lines 142 through 147:
142 (4) Approved self-reliance training may be
offered by the department or any of the
143 following if
approved by the department:
144 (a) a civic organization as defined in Section
35A-3-102;
(b) a for-profit entity;
145 {(b)} (c) an educational institution; or
146 {(c)} (d) any state or local entity.
