Chair Jenkins called the meeting to order at 3:25   p.m.

 

S.B. 134 Oil and Gas Conservation Account Amendments (Sen. Okerland)

 

Sen. Okerland explained the bill to the committee.

 

Spoke for the bill:                   Ruland Gill- Chair, Utah Board of Oil, Gas, and Mining

                                                Lee Peacock - Utah Petroleum Association                                       

           

MOTION:   Sen. Dayton moved to pass the bill out favorably.  The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Shiozawa absent for the vote.

 

H.C.R. 1 Concurrent Resolution on Waters of the United States (Rep. Noel)

 

Rep. Noel explained the resolution to the committee.

 

Spoke for the resolution:         Sterling Brown-Utah Farm Bureau

                                                Mike Kohler-Dairyman’s Association

                                               

MOTION:   Sen. A. Christensen moved to pass H.C.R. 1 out favorably.  The motion passed with Sen. Shiozawa absent for the vote. Sen. Iwamoto voting in opposition.

 

MOTION:   Sen. Christensen moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.

 

Chair Jenkins adjourned the meeting at 4:05 p.m.
