Chair Dayton called the meeting to order at 2:09 p.m.

Chair Dayton explained that S.B. 63 will not be heard today.

SJR002 Joint Resolution Calling for the Repeal of the 17^th Amendment (A. Jackson)

Sen. Jackson explained the bill to the committee.

Spoke to the bill: Larry Mulcock, citizen of Holladay, UT

Spoke for the bill: Maryann Christensen, Executive Director, Eagle Forum

MOTION: Sen. Jackson moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed with Sen. Escamilla voting in opposition.

SB 0052 Rate Committee Modifications (D. Hinkins)

Sen. Hinkins explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION: Sen. Hinkins moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

Chair Dayton asked Sen. Hinkins to conduct the meeting.

SJR 006 Joint Resolution Recognizing the 100^th Anniversary of the JROTC Program (M. Dayton)

Sen. Dayton explained the bill to the committee with assistance from Lt. Col. Michael Liechty, Retired, Air Force JROTC.

Spoke for the bill:

MOTION: Chair Dayton moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Hillyard and Sen. Thatcher absent for the vote.

SB0062 JROTC Instructor Amendments (M. Dayton)

Sen. Dayton explained the bill to the committee with assistance from Lt. Col. Michael Liechty, Retired, Air Force JROTC.
