Chair Jenkins called the meeting to order at 8:07.

MOTION: Sen. Dayton moved to approve the minutes of February 19, 2016. The motion passed unanimously.

H.B. 211 Agricultural Exemption Amendment (L. Perry)

Rep. Perry explained the bill to the committee.

Spoke for the bill: Ms. LuAnn Adams, Commissioner, Utah Department of Agriculture and Food

MOTION: Sen. Dayton moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed

unanimously

MOTION: Sen. Dayton moved to place H.B. 211 on the Consent Calendar.

The motion passed unanimously.

H.B. 258 Solid Waste Amendment (C. Oda)

MOTION: Sen. Dayton moved to replace 1^st Sub. H.B. 258 with 2^nd Sub. H.B. 258. The

motion passed unanimously.

Rep. Oda explained the bill to the committee.

Spoke to the bill: Mr. Scott Anderson, Director, Utah Division of Waste Management

and Radiation Control

MOTION: Sen. Dayton moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed

unanimously.

H.B. 173 State Fair Park Revisions (K. Van Tassell)

Sen Van Tassell explained the bill to the committee.

Of Our National Parks (J. Fawson)

Rep. Fawson explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION: Sen. Christenson moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed out

favorably with Sen. Dayton in opposition and Sen Shiozawa absent for the vote.

2^nd Sub. H.B. 87 Clean Fuel Conversion Amendment (S. Hardy)

Rep. Hardy explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION: Sen. Vickers moved to replace 2^nd Sub. H.B. 87 with 3^rd Sub. H.B. 87. The

motion passed out favorably with Senators Dayton, Knudson, and Shiozawa absent for the vote.
