Chair Henderson called the meeting to order at 4:14 p.m.

 

MOTION:  Sen. Harper moved to approve the minutes of the March 3, 2016 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Stephenson and Pres. Niederhauser absent for the vote.

 

H.B. 395      Legislative Reports Amendments (Rep. S. Eliason)

 

Rep. Eliason explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:  Sen. Harper moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Stephenson and Pres. Niederhauser absent for the vote.

 

S.B. 258       Distribution of Local Sales Tax Revenue (Sen. R. Okerlund)

 

Pres. Niederhauser explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:  Sen. Stephenson moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Bramble absent for the vote.

 

H.B. 294      Second-hand Store Amendments (Rep. R. Edwards)

 

Rep. Edwards explained the bill to the committee.

H.B. 377      Grandparents Rights Amendments (Rep. L. Christensen)

 

Rep. Christensen explained the bill to the committee.

H.B. 297      Bail Bond Amendments (Rep. E. Hutchings)

 

MOTION:   Sen. Harper moved to replace H.B. 297 with 1st Sub. H.B. 297. The motion passed unanimously with Pres. Niederhauser absent for the vote.

 

Rep. Hutchings explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:  Sen. Harper moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed with Sen. Dabakis voting in opposition and Pres. Niederhauser absent for the vote.

 

H.B. 397      Department of Administrative Services Revisions (Rep. S. DiCaro)

 

Rep. DiCaro explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:  Sen. Harper moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Pres. Niederhauser absent for the vote

 

MOTION:  Sen. Stephenson moved to approve a letter to Legislative Management Committee regarding single sales factor apportionment of business income for purposes of corporate franchise and income taxes. The motion passed unanimously with Pres. Niederhauser absent for the vote.

 

 

 

MOTION:   Sen. Davis moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously with Pres. Niederhauser absent for the vote.
