3. Data Breach Notification
The
committee will discuss data security breach notifications by public entities.
Consideration will be given to requiring public agencies to notify the public
about a data security breach within a certain period of time and to the method
of notification.

4. Draft Legislation, “Utah Technology Governance Amendments”
The
committee will discuss draft legislation to amend governance of the Department
of Technology Services.

5. Single Sign-on Database Report
Utah Code
63F-3-104 requires no later than November 30, 2016, for the Department of
Technology Services to report to the committee with an initial design and
prototype of the business database and the single sign-on web portal, together
with a minimum two-year plan, including projected cost, for the initial
implementation phase of the project.

6. Telehealth Workgroup
At the
May 18, 2016, interim meeting, the committee approved the creation of a workgroup
to work with the Health Reform Task Force on issues related to telehealth. The
committee will receive a report from the workgroup.

7. Molten Salt Reactors and Medicinal Isotope Production
The
committee discussed developing a Molten Salt Reactor in Utah during the
committee’s interim meeting in October. Information was presented about
developing a liquid fluoride thorium reactor with an advanced power conversion
system known as a supercritical CO2 Brayton cycle. The committee will discuss
research and development opportunities for Utah such as medicinal isotope
production.
