Chair Buxton called the meeting to order at 2:11 p.m.

1. S.B. 112 Special Group License Plate Repeal (Christensen, A.)

Sen. Christensen explained the bill.

2. S.B. 111 Unmanned Aircraft Amendments (Harper, W.)

Sen. Wayne A. Harper explained the bill.

MOTION:     Sen. Harper moved to replace S.B. 111 with 1st Substitute S.B. 111. The motion passed with a vote of 4-0-3.

3. S.B. 112 Special Group License Plate Repeal (Christensen, A.)

Sen. Christensen further explained S.B.112.

MOTION:     Sen. Harper moved to pass S.B. 112 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 5-0-2.

4. S.B. 111 Unmanned Aircraft Amendments (Harper, W.)

Stephen Foxley, Lobbyist, Google spoke to the bill.

Chief Tom Ross, Bountiful Chief of Police spoke to the bill.

Conner Boyack, Libertas spoke to the bill.

John Mejin, ACLU of Utah spoke to the bill.

Ryan Peterson, Utah Council of Land Surveyers spoke to the bill.

James D. Tracy, Sheriff, Utah County spoke to the bill.

Jeremiah Riley, Orbital ATK spoke in favor of the bill.

Brandon Smith, Utah League of Cities and Towns spoke to the bill.

MOTION:     Sen. Harper moved to pass 1st Substitute S.B. 111 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 4-0-3.

MOTION:     Sen. Anderegg moved to adjourn. The motion passed with a vote of 4-0-3.

Chair Buxton adjourned the meeting at 3:05 p.m.
