Chair Anderegg called the meeting to order at 2:09 p.m.


1. S.B. 90 Vehicle Inspection and Registration Amendments (Anderegg, J.)


Sen. Anderegg presented the bill.

 

MOTION:     Sen. Mayne moved to pass S.B. 90 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 4-0-3.

Yeas: Sen. Anderegg, Sen. Buxton, Sen. Mayne, and Sen. Millner

Nays: None

Absent: President Niederhauser, Sen. Okerlund, and Sen. Stevenson


2. S.B. 100 Early Childhood Services Coordination Amendments (Millner, A.)


Sen. Millner presented the bill.

A handout, "The Science of Early Childhood Development," was distributed.

 

MOTION:     Sen. Millner moved to replace S.B. 100 with 1st Substitute S.B. 100. The motion passed with a vote of 4-0-3.

Yeas: Sen. Anderegg, Sen. Buxton, Sen. Mayne, and Sen. Millner

Nays: None

Absent: President Niederhauser, Sen. Okerlund, and Sen. Stevenson


Ms. Elizabeth Garby, United Way of Salt Lake, spoke in favor of the bill.

 

MOTION:     Sen. Mayne moved to pass 1st Substitute S.B. 100 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 4-0-3.

Nays: None

3. S.J.R. 2 Joint Resolution Encouraging the Employment of Utah Workers for Airport Redevelopment Efforts (Mayne, K.)

 

MOTION:     Sen. Mayne moved to replace S.J.R. 2 with 1st Substitute S.J.R. 2. The motion passed with a vote of 4-0-3.

MOTION:     Sen. Millner moved to pass H.B. 34 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 4-0-3.

MOTION:     Sen. Millner moved to adjourn. The motion passed with a vote of 4-0-3.
