Chair Ipson called the meeting to order at 2:08 p.m.


1. S.C.R. 5 Concurrent Resolution Recognizing Snow Removal Crews Throughout Utah (Okerlund, R.)


Sen Okerlund explained the bill.


Jason Davis, Operations Director, Utah Department of Transportation, spoke in favor of the bill.

 

MOTION:     Sen. Dayton moved to pass S.C.R. 5 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 5-0-3.

2. S.B. 81 Local Government Licensing Amendments (Anderegg, J.)


Sen. Anderegg explained the bill.

 

MOTION:     Sen. Dayton moved to amend S.B. 81 with Amendment #1 as follows:

 

1.    Page 2, Lines 30 through 35:   

 

30   (1) As used in this section:

"Business" means any enterprise carried on for the purpose of gain or economic

32profit, except that the acts of employees rendering services to employers are not included in

4. S.B. 65 Postal Facilities and Government Services (Mayne, K.)

 

Sen. Mayne explained the bill with assistance from Jennifer Scott, Communications Director for U.S. Congressman Chaffetz.

 

 

 

 

 

 

MOTION:     Sen. Hinkins moved to pass S.B. 65 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 5-0-3.

5. H.B. 12 Disposition of Ballots Amendments (Eliason, S.)

MOTION:     Sen. Hinkins moved to replace H.B. 12 with 1st Substitute H.B. 12. The motion passed with a vote of 5-0-3.
