Chair Ipson called the meeting to order at 2:06 PM

1. H.B. 70 Common Area Assessment Amendments (Froerer, G.)

Rep. Froerer explained the bill.

MOTION:     Sen. Dayton moved to pass H.B. 70 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 4-0-4.

MOTION:     Sen. Dayton moved to place H.B. 70 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed with a vote of 5-0-3.

2. S.B. 140 Annexation of Islands Within Cities (Buxton, D. G.)

Sen. Buxton explained the bill.

Ron Faerber, Chair, Sandy Hills Community Council, spoke to the bill.

MOTION:     Sen. Dayton moved to pass S.B. 140 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 6-0-2.

3. S.B. 143 Local District Board Amendments (Stevenson, J.)

MOTION:     Sen. Hinkins moved to replace S.B. 143 with 1st Substitute S.B. 143. The motion passed with a vote of 6-0-2.
