SB122 Wildland Fire Suppression Fund Amednments (E. Vickers)

Sen. Vickers explained the bill with the assistance of Brian Cottam Director, Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands spoke in favor of the bill.

Coy Porter, State Fire Marshall, spoke in favor of the bill.

MOTION:     Sen. Vickers moved to pass S.B. 122 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 6-0-1.

Dayton M, Christensen A, Hinkins D, Iwamoto J, Shiozawa B, Vickers E.

Absent or not voting was:

Knudson P

1. S.B. 113 Natural Resources Modifications (Dayton, M.)

Sen Dayton explained the bill.

Kent Jones State Engineer, spoke in favor of the bill.

Todd Adams, Deputy Director, Division of Water Rights, spoke in favor of the bill.

Mike Styler, Director, Department of Natural Resources, spoke in favor of the bill.

MOTION:     Chair Dayton moved to pass S.B. 113 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 4-0-3.

3. S.B. 105 Sale of State Lands Act (Davis, G.)

Sen. Davis explained the bill.

MOTION:     Sen. Iwamoto moved to amend S.B. 105 on line 47 by deleting 300 and inserting 200. The motion passed with a vote of 5-0-2.

Linda Hull, Policy and Legislative Services Director, Utah Department Of Transportation (UDOT), spoke to the bill.

MOTION:     Sen. Iwamoto moved to pass S.B. 105 out favorably. The motion failed with a vote of 3-3-1.
