Chair Weiler called the meeting to order at 8:15 a.m.
MOTION: Sen. Hillyard moved to approve the minutes of the February 13, 2017. The motion passed with a vote of 3-0-4.

MOTION: Sen. Hillyard moved to pass S.B. 202 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 4-0-3.

2. S.B. 200 Law Enforcement Peer Counseling Amendments (Thatcher, D.)
Sen. Thatcher explained the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Thatcher moved to amend S.B. 200 with Amendment #1 as follows:
1. Page 2, Lines 45 through 52:
45 (c) "Law enforcement or firefighter peer support team member" means a person who
46is:
47 (i) a peace officer, civilian employee, or volunteer member of a law enforcement
48agency, a regular or volunteer member of a fire department, or another person who has been
49trained in peer support skills; and
50 (ii) designated by the superintendent of the Utah Highway Patrol,
51chief, or a fire chief as a member of a law enforcement agency's peer support team or a fire
52department's peer support team.
The motion passed with a vote of 4-0-3.
