Chair Schultz called the meeting to order at 3:04 p.m.

MOTION:     Rep. Westwood moved to approve the minutes of the February 7, 2017 meeting. The motion passed with a vote of 9-0-3.

1. H.B. 257 Autonomous Vehicles Task Force (Spendlove, R.)

Rep. Robert M. Spendlove explained the bill.

2. H.C.R. 18 Concurrent Resolution Encouraging Utahns to Consider the Smog Rating When Purchasing a Vehicle (Arent, P.)

Rep. Patrice M. Arent explained the resolution with the assistance of Mr. Bryce Bird, Director, Utah Division of Air Quality and Mr. Craig Bickmore, Executive Director, New Car Dealers of Utah.

Ms. Ashley Miller, Program and Policy Director, Breath Utah spoke in favor of the resolution.

MOTION:     Rep. Westwood moved to amend H.C.R. 18 with Amendment #1.

3. H.B. 153 Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Coverage Amendments (Kennedy, M.)

Rep. Kwan's motion to pass 1st Substitute H.B. 153 out favorably passed with a vote of 9-3-0.

4. H.B. 265 Safety Inspection Amendments (McCay, D.)

Rep. Daniel McCay explained the bill with the assistance of Mr. Trevor Woolley, student and Mr. Alex Hoagland, student.
