Chair Fillmore called the meeting to order at 4:03 p.m.

MOTION:     Sen. Shiozawa moved to approve the minutes of the February 21, 2017 meeting.

1. S.B. 246 Pharmacy Practice Act Amendments (Vickers, E.)

MOTION:     Sen. Vickers moved to replace S.B. 246 with 1st Substitute S.B. 246.

The motion passed with a vote of 5-0-3.

MOTION:     Sen. Vickers moved to amend 1st Substitute S.B. 246 with Amendment #1.

2. H.B. 175 Opioid Abuse Prevention and Treatment Amendments (Eliason, S.)

Rep. Eliason explained the bill.

Ms. Michelle McOmber, Chief Executive Officer, Utah Medical Association, spoke in favor of the bill.

Mr. Jonathan Peterson spoke to the bill.

MOTION:     Sen. Escamilla moved to pass H.B. 175 out favorably.

The motion passed with a vote of 5-0-3.

3. 1st Sub. H.C.R. 10 Concurrent Resolution Encouraging Identification and Support of Traumatic Childhood Experiences Survivors (Redd, E.)

Rep. Redd explained the bill.

Ms. Eileen Ridgeline Grace, Ridgeline Consulting Services, spoke in favor of the bill.

MOTION:     Sen. Christensen moved to amend 1st Substitute H.C.R. 10 with Amendment #1.
