Acting Chair Stephenson called the meeting to order at 4:12 p.m.

 

MOTION:     Sen. Hillyard moved to approve the minutes of the February 21, 2017 meeting. The motion passed with a vote of 4-0-3.

MOTION:     Sen. Millner moved to replace S.B. 238 with 1st Substitute S.B. 238. The motion passed with a vote of 4-0-3.

MOTION:     Sen. Stephenson moved to amend H.B. 100 with Amendment #3.

 

1.    Page 3, Lines 64 through 70:   

            House Committee Amendments

64   (ii) fail to pay a loan described in Subsection (1)(e)(i)(A), (B), or (C).

65   (f) "Total costs" means

MOTION:     Sen. Hillyard moved to amend 1st Substitute H.B. 108 with Amendment #1.

 

1.    Page 6, Lines 171 through 174:      

 

171 (9) Notwithstanding the provisions of this section, if the appropriation for the program

172is insufficient to cover the costs associated with salary supplements, the board [may limit or

173reduce the salary supplements] shall distribute the funds in the Teacher Salary Supplement
